Ljajic meets with Inter-Parliameptary Union British Group delegation

Serbian Minister of Labour and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic talked today with a delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union British Group about measures that Serbia is taking to deal with the effects of the global economic crisis and other issues hindering Serbia’s EU integration.
Ljajic informed British MPs that the Serbian government has prepared a set of measures to deal with the economic crisis and that his Ministry, in cooperation with other state organs and experts, is finishing a set of measures to protect the most vulnerable social groups.
The delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union also expressed interest in the Serbian government’s activities to conclude cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
Minister Ljajic pointed to the fact that the government is willing and there is political will to locate, apprehend and hand over the remaining two Hague indictees and that this is now a question of technicalities rather than a political issue.
The delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union also expressed interest in the Serbian government’s activities to conclude cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
