The bills on affirming the protocol accompanying the European Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism, on affirming the Council of Europe Convention on Laundering, Search, Seizure and Confiscation of the Proceeds from Crime and on the Financing of Terrorism and the bill on affirming the Convention on Cybercrime were also adopted.
The government also adopted the bill on affirming additional protocols of the Convention on Cybercrime regarding acts of racism and xenophobia, the bill on employment and insurance and the bill on international legal aid.
Three strategies were adopted, namely a strategy on reintegration of returnees, a strategy on promoting the quality of health care and protection of patients and the national strategy promoting the position of women and gender equality.
The government adopted a programme of long-term housing loans for 2009, allowing subsidies to those citizens who do not own any property.
Four programmes will be carried out through the Development Fund, namely the programme on subsidised loans for maintaining liquidity and financing turnaround capital, a programme for start-up loans, programmes for subsidised consumer loans and the programme stimulating companies and entrepreneurship in underdeveloped municipalities of Serbia.
The government today adopted a decree on the provision of funds for the development of villages through agricultural investments, as well as through improvement of competition.
The government also decided to make an agreement with Russia concerning a visa-free regime for citizens of the two countries whose stay is no longer than 30 days.
