Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said at the joint exercise Rasina 2009 that the exercise has shown that Serbia has a highly professional and well trained police force and that the country is important for regional stability.

After the exercise held by the gendarmerie and the special anti-terrorist unit Dacic said that the success of the exercise confirms that the police are capable of dealing with any security risk.
The Minister stressed that the fight against organised crime will be continued and confirmed that the action to arrest members of two criminal groups will go on today. One of these groups carries out robberies and blackmail and the other falsifies official documents.

Serbian President Boris Tadic, who attended the joint exercise, said that it shows that the state and police are ready to respond to all security risks and terrorism, adding that this proves that Serbia is capable of not only establishing law and order within the country but can also play an important role in regional stability.
Tadic said that during the previous few years Serbia has contributed to regional stability, stressing that the West Balkans cannot be a stable region without a stable and peaceful Serbia.
The joint exercise Rasina 2009 was focused on the fight against terrorist groups.
