Jeremic will lay a wreath at the monument to Jovan Ristic, Serbian foreign minister who headed the Serbian delegation at the Berlin Congress in 1878, at which after four centuries under Turkish rule Serbia finally regained independence.
The Minister will also visit the Sumarice national park where he will lay wreaths at the monument to the victims of the Nazi terror, due to which on October 21, 1941 several thousand civilians were killed, along with several hundred children and their teachers.
After the visit to Kragujevac the Minister will hold a lecture on Serbia’s foreign policy strategy at the National Strategy Forum in the Serbian–American Centre.
The National Strategy Forum is a joint project by the Serbian–American Centre in Belgrade and the Kragujevac authorities, within which topics important to Serbia’s present and future have been debated for over a year.
