Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, NGOs sign memorandum on cooperation

Minister for Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic and representatives of NGOs today signed a memorandum on cooperation.

The memorandum was signed in order to include NGOs in creating reports, strategies, action plans, draft laws and projects referring to human rights.
Speaking after the signing the Minister for Human and Minority Rights said that there is no progress for the state if there is no cooperation with NGOs.
In November 2008 the Ministry officially started cooperating with NGOs under the auspices of the OSCE.
OSCE Ambassador to Serbia Hans Ola Urstad expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation and noted that the OSCE Mission is satisfied with how Serbia fulfills its international obligations.
Over 150 NGOs responded to the invitation of the Ministry.
