Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic today said that Serbia, being central to the region in political and security terms, is an important factor for the peace and stability of South Eastern Europe, which both Serbia and the international community are striving to achieve.
Jeremic is
taking part in the Munich Security Conference, where he will participate in a panel debate themed “Stability in the Caucus region and the Western Balkans”.
In an interview with the Fonet agency, the Minister said it is of importance that the issue of the Western Balkans remains on the international community’s agenda as long as necessary.
Jeremic announced that he will clearly convey Serbia’s stance concerning the security situation in Kosovo-Metohija, following the unilaterally declared Kosovo independence.
The Munich Security Conference is the largest of this kind and it is of great importance that Serbia participates.
During his visit to Munich, Jeremic will also hold around 10 bilateral meetings.
