Following the signing of the agreement, Sutanovac said that this may be a small step compared to what the two ministries have planned, but he voiced his hope that it would nevertheless improve relations between the two countries.
The Minister explained that the flight simulator is of importance for the Serbian Army and announced that the two sides will continue negotiating concerning a Super Galeb, which was left at Podgorica Airport after the break up of Serbia and Montenegro.
Sutanovac recalled that Montenegrin students are able to attend the Military Academy in Belgrade, adding that the Serbian Military Medical Academy may soon be accessible to Montenegrin soldiers and citizens.
Vucinic pointed out that this agreement is a sign of good will towards Serbia, saying that Montenegro’s strategic goal is to develop good relations with neighbouring countries and become a factor for stability in the region.
He accepted an invitation by Sutanovac to visit Belgrade and expressed satisfaction with the relations between the ministries, adding that relations between the two countries can be further improved.
Vucinic said that the Montenegrin Army supports Serbia’s idea to form a regional centre to train nuclear, biological and chemical defence units in Krusevac, where Montenegrin army personnel could also receive training. He invited members of the Serbian Army to join the crew of the naval school ship Jadran.
