Milosavljevic said that although there are announcements that prices of some agricultural and food products could increase, there is no reason, since wheat prices are much lower than last year.
Last year’s crop was good, which provides conditions for stable and even reduced prices of milk, meat, flour, bread and edible oil, said Milosavljevic.
He noted that the government is doing everything it can to secure a stable macroeconomic environment, stable prices and to preserve citizens’ purchasing power as well as to increase employment.
Serbia is in financial crisis and a number of companies are facing problems with liquidity, he said, adding that the state will try to alleviate these effects with €1 billion of help and thus maintain economic growth.
