Serbia, Cuba sign memorandum of cooperation for health, medical sciences

Belgrade/Havana, 24 January 2009

The Ministry of Health stated that Minister Tomica Milosavljevic and Cuban Health Minister Jose Ramon Balaguer Cabrera signed a memorandum on cooperation in the health sector and in medical sciences.

The cooperation will include exchanges of experience and experts, health care for mothers and children, prevention of disease, education and research.

The Serbian Health Ministry's delegation is on a four-day visit to Cuba, at the invitation of the Cuban Health Minister.

The delegation comprises Minister Milosavljevic, State Secretary Nevena Karanovic, Serbian Ambassador to Cuba Milena Lukovic and Marijana Sedlar from the Institute for Hyperbaric Medicine.
