Ugljanin receives award for promoting popular sports

Belgrade, 15 January 2009

Minister without Portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin today received an award for promoting popular sports.

The statement says the award was presented to him by representatives of the Serbian Sports Association on behalf of the Chairman of the International Olympics Committee Jacques Rogge.

Minister Ugljanin voiced his gratitude for this recognition, stressing that in order to have a healthy nation it is vital to invest both in sport and sports facilities.

Present at the meeting were also president of the Serbian Boxing Association Velizar Djeric, president of the Association Sport for All Serbia Milorad Perisic and secretary general of the Association Sport for All Serbia Jezdimir Marsenic, adds the statement.
