The Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining stated today that enough crude oil has been secured for the district heating system to function normally.
According to the statement the government’s crisis committee confirmed at a meeting held at the Ministry of Energy that there has been no change in the gas supply situation during the past few days.
It was stressed at the meeting that all state organs are making efforts to secure additional quantities of crude oil and the crisis committee has recommended to all heating plants to improve heating for households and to prevent overloading the electricity supply system, which is working at record capacity.
The crisis committee appealed to citizens not to use additional electric heating and to save electricity.
