Gas supply stable

Director General of Srbijagas Dusan Bajatovic today said that over the next eight days Germany will deliver 2.7 million cubic metres of gas per day to Serbia, adding that Serbia’s gas supply system is now stable.

In an interview with Radio Television Serbia, Bajatovic said that last night the government signed an agreement concerning the gas supply from Germany, adding that the government also agreed the delivery of 2 million cubic metres of gas from Hungary.
He said that as soon as Germany starts delivering the gas to Serbia it will be supplied to households all over the country.
Bajatovic said that the heating plants Zapad and Sever from Novi Sad started working again after receiving delivery of 2 million cubic metres of gas from Hungary.
According to him, the heating plants in Pancevo, Kikinda, Subotica, Backa Palanka, Becej, Velika Plana, Senta, Cacak, Jagodina, the electric power plant in Loznica and the oil refinery in Novi Sad have been working all night.
Bajatovic said that gas has also been supplied to hospitals and bakeries in Kikinda, Novi Sad, Pancevo and Vrsac.
