Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic stated that Serbia has equal chances of success in mountain, lake and city break tourism.

Opening the winter season on Mt Kopaonik Dinkic announced that the Ministry plans to make mountains a summer resort, and only a winter one, adding that a children’s summer camp will be built on Mt Zlatibor.
The state will also invest in spa tourism by constructing wellness centres, swimming pools and renovating the hotels.
City break tourism is another opportunity for Serbia when it comes to Belgrade and Novi Sad, which have already become popular with tourists, he said.
Another opportunity is the Danube’s tourist potential and the state will keep investing in it, he noted.
Serbia already has favourable credit lines for improving the tourist offer which have been used in the past two years, said the Minister adding that there will be more such loans in 2009.
