At a meeting with the presidents of 49 underdeveloped municipalities, Ugljanin said that according to the classification 49 municipalities are underdeveloped, 38 developed and 27 municipalities reached 80% of economic development at state level.
He invited municipal presidents to define developmental priorities, which will be financed from the state budget and pre-accession funds.
Ugljanin pointed out that it has never been spent more than 40% of the government’s developmental funds, as local-authorities are not familiar with the procedure for obtaining money from the state budget.
Ugljanin said that the aim of the meeting is to define future cooperation regarding the development of underdeveloped areas, the fight against poverty and the provision of jobs.
