In a statement to the Beta news agency, Dulic, who is
participating in the 14th Climate Change Conference in Poznań, said that not only Kyoto Protocol signatories will take part in this fight, but also the US, China, Brazil and India.
New negotiations will be held next year in Copenhagen and will mark the beginning of the post-Kyoto era. Serbia is a small country and therefore it cannot participate on its own, said the Minister, adding that the Balkans negotiation team has been formed in this respect.
According to the Minister, Serbia has to be prepared for the future, which implies heavy investment in renewable energy sources, which is also one of its preconditions for joining the EU.
Dulic said he met with the Spanish and Norwegian Environment Ministers, adding that developed countries are interested in investing in Serbian technology.
