A Serbian delegation, led by President Boris Tadic and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church attended the last liturgy and requiem for the late Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II, in Moscow today.

The Serbian delegation comprised Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic and Minister of Religion Bogoljub Sijakovic, while the Serbian Orthodox Church delegation included Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije, Metropolitan of Skopje Jovan, Bishop of Zvornik and Tuzla Vasilije and Bishop of Backa Irinej.
Jeremic told the Beta news agency that Serbia’s representatives are in Moscow today to pay their last respects to a great friend of the Serbian people, Alexy II.
The relations between Serbia and Russia are deep, brotherly and one of the most important sides of that relationship is our spiritual connection, the Minister stressed.
