Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic, opening the 5th international education fair, Putokazi, at the Novi Sad Fairgrounds, stressed that Serbia invests sizeable funds in the education system, in line with its capabilities.
The Minister noted that investing in knowledge means investing in the future, adding that educational reform is an ongoing process in Serbia, which adjusts to the time we live in and the needs of the country’s economic development.
A total of 70 exhibitors from Serbia and abroad are taking part in the fair, including representatives from state and private universities, faculties and academies, specialised schools, grammar and elementary schools, language learning centres, publishers etc.
Educational institutions from Poland, Greece, Croatia and Hungary will present their curriculums and teaching plans and various lectures will be held during the next three days.
The fair is endorsed by the Serbian Ministry of Education, the Provincial Secretariat for Education and the Education Directorate of the City of Novi Sad.
