Serbian Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic today in Banjaluka discussed with Republika Srpska Minister of Trade and Tourism Predrag Gluhakovic ways to improve trade cooperation.
It was agreed that a working group will be established to implement the agreement on special parallel relations in trade between Serbia and Republika Srpska. They also talked about ways to improve relations between the two ministries concerning educating consumers and producers with the aim of introducing standards required to enter large retail chains.
Milosavljevic talked about the Fiat investment in Serbia, saying that this is also an opportunity for car parts producers in Republika Srpska to become part of the project.
Agreement was reached that the commodity reserves directorates in Serbia and Republika Srpska will cooperate more closely in order to react suitably in various situations.
Milosavljevic also presented the Serbian government’s strategy for trade development and said that Serbia is willing to help design a similar strategy for Republika Srpska.
It was decided that a meeting on exchange of experiences and strengthening regional cooperation in consumer protection will be held on the assistant-minister level in Banjaluka from December 9 to 11.
