First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated, following a meeting with Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs Miguel Angel Moratinoso, that Spain endorses Serbia’s EU integration process and the liberalisation of the visa regime for Serbian citizens.

Dacic,
who is visiting Spain, told the Beta news agency that he and
Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic met with Moratinoso and agreed that Spain is one of their key partners in the EU. They also thanked him for Spain’s principled support regarding Kosovo-Metohija, an issue of crucial importance for Serbia.
Dacic also met with Spanish Minister of the Interior Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba and they agreed to sign an agreement on police cooperation and the fight against all forms of organised crime, as well as an agreement on the readmission of illegal Serbian immigrants in Spain.
According to Dacic, they also agreed to speed up the realisation of the agreement on the validity of driving licences.
