In a statement to the press, Dulic said that RSD 60 million will be earmarked from the National Investment Plan, while the Environmental Protection Fund will set aside RSD 40 million.
Dulic recalled that the solving of environmental problems is tightly connected to the privatisation of RTB Bor, adding that the Ministry will insist that a future strategic partner invest €180 million towards the construction of a new smelting plant and other projects.
According to Dulic the working group agreed to start an initiative according to which the Ministry of Health will provide free medical examinations for Bor citizens.
As part of the short-term measures, the Ministry will also improve air pollution monitoring by setting up another three automatic stations, which will work as part of the Environmental Protection Agency. The Agency will be obliged to regularly inform the public on the level of pollution, said the Minister.
