Addressing the
16th telecommunications forum Telfor, Matic invited experts to give their proposals to amend the text of the plan.
She said that the plan will be published today on the
webpage of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, while first suggestions will appear on there on Monday.
She expressed hope that the winner of the tender for e-government will sign the contract within ten days.
Matic announced that the first paperless government session should be held in March 2009.
Regulations on introducing CDMA and WiMax technologies will be passed by the end of 2008, she noted, adding that plans for the transfer to digital TV will be made by December.
Matic announced that the Ministry will introduce various regulations in order to synchronise the telecommunications sector with the 2002EU legislation, as it is currently at the level of the 1998 EU regulations, and to adjust it to market changes.
The Ministry’s goal is to put the Serbian market in order, which is a hard task concerning the telecommunications sector, since technology is developing very fast and therefore the synchronisation of laws has to be speedier, explained the Minister.
At Telfor, being held until November 27, more than 250 scientific and professional works will be presented. One third of the participants are from abroad.
