Serbian Minister of Environmental Protection and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic said today that several French firms are interested in investing in Serbia, particularly in infrastructure, recycling and renewable energy sources.
In a statement to the Beta news agency from Paris, where he is taking part in a conference on encouraging foreign investment in Serbia, Dulic said that the conference was well-attended and some of the potential investors will definitely come to Serbia.
He said that talks were held with representatives of the multinational French company Veolia, a major investor in renewable energy sources and recycling, that is interested in forming a partnership with regional waste depots in Serbia and in opening recycling centres.
A meeting was also held with representatives of a French company interested in investing in infrastructure in Serbia, said Dulic, adding that talks will be held today with representatives of several smaller firms concerning railway transport and building.
