The memorandum was signed by representatives of the Albanian Interior Ministry, Border Police of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatian Interior Ministry, Macedonian Interior Ministry, Montenegrin Ministry of the Interior and Public Administration and Serbian Interior Ministry.
FRONTEX (European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders) will be in charge of implementing this agreement.
Partners in the implementation of the project were the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hungarian Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement, Austrian Interior Ministry and International Centre for Migration Policy Development.
The purpose of the memorandum is to establish a system of efficient exchanges of statistical data amongst authorities of the countries signatories.
