Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with Slovenian Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl and said that EU High Representative Javier Solana reiterated the support of the EU foreign ministers to the state union of Serbia-Montenegro, voiced at the meeting in Maastricht.
Kostunica said that it is necessary to harmonise Serbian government's and UNMIK's plans on decentralisation in order to secure safety for Serbs and non-Albanians through additional institutional guarantees.
Vajgl said that Slovenia, as a country well aware of the situation in the region, is interested that the European perspective of all western Balkan countries be realised.
Kostunica and Vajgl agreed during the meeting that both countries want to expand their bilateral cooperation.
