After meeting with French Secretary of State for Defense Jean-Marie Bockel, Sutanovac said to the news agency Tanjug that he and Bockel discussed the possibility of a defence agreement between Serbia and France.
According to Sutanovac, the Serbian delegation presented a draft of the agreement, which could become a basis for various forms of cooperation, to French representatives.
The Minister said that Serbia has similar agreements with several other countries, including China and voiced hope that a defence agreement will be signed with France.
He said that the education of Serbian officers in France, as well training for Serbian special army units, was also discussed.
France is interested in participating in an international air show that Serbia is planning to organise next year and for which support from many countries is being sought, said the Minister.
During his three day visit to France, which finished today, Sutanovac also attended a ceremony to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Armistice Day.
