Sutanovac lays wreaths on tomb of Unknown Soldier in Paris

Serbian Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac last night laid wreaths on the tomb of the unknown soldier from World War One, which stands underneath l’Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
As part of the 90th anniversary of World War One, Serbian and French anthems were performed.
Sutanovac said that Serbia is an honorary guest and is being treated as a great friend of France.
This commits us to strengthen military cooperation with France, which shows they support us on our road towards the EU, he said.
At the invitation of French President Nicolas Sarkozy the Serbian Defence Ministry’s delegation will attend the ceremony in Verdun, the site of one of the greatest battles of that war.
Also, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Dusan Spasojevic met yesterday with the head of the cabinet of the French Foreign Minister at Quai d'Orsay and discussed bilateral military cooperation with France as well as Serbia’s road towards the EU.
