In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Maravic said that Kosovo cannot be regarded as a state, a Pristina delegation can be considered only as “Kosovo under the UN Security Council 1244 Resolution” and its representatives can only sit with representatives of other international organisations.
Maravic specified that Serbia considers all opinions conveyed by Kosovo representatives are on behalf of UNMIK, which is responsible for administration and security in the Southern province.
Marovic pointed out that Serbia agreed with France, organisers of the meeting in Zagreb, that all Serbia’s conditions will be respected.
The EU ministerial forum themed "Judiciary and Interior Affairs – EU and the Western Balkans" was aimed at planning bilateral and multilateral cooperation regarding the fight against organised crime, corruption and human and arms trafficking.
The Interior Ministers of France, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Macedonia, Sweden, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland and representatives of the European Commission and EU agencies participated in the forum.
Issues such as state borders, migration, visas, security, cross-border crime, the fight against corruption, financial investigations and confiscation of property obtained by illegal means were discussed at the forum.
