Police Director of the Serbian Interior Ministry Milorad Veljovic and his Hungarian counterpart Jozef Bence discussed the promotion of cooperation, especially in the fight against organised crime.
Veljovic,
who is on a visit to Hungary, told the Tanjug news agency that they also spoke about tackling illegal migration, human trafficking, money laundering and the smuggling of drugs and excised goods.
The Serbian and Hungarian police, for the first time, made a joint plan for 2009, he announced, noting that cooperation will focus on tackling crime, border affairs and traffic safety.
Veljovic said that it is necessary to intensify negotiations regarding who controls road, rail and river cross-border traffic.
