Tax on savings deposits to be temporarily abolished

The Ministry of Finance suggested, within its package for stabilising the financial sector, the temporary abolishment of tax on savings deposits.
Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic recently announced this measure, which will start from the inception of the proposed new law and last until December 31, 2009.
