The adopted laws refer to the organisation of courts, judges, the High Council of the Judiciary, public prosecutors, the State Council of Prosecutors and court districts.
It also adopted the Bill on amendments to the Law on misdemeanour.
The government adopted short-term measures regarding the business policy of Jat Airways according to which the company’s debts to the Serbian oil industry Naftna Industrija Srbije, the Serbian Flight Control Agency and Nikola Tesla Airport must be settled.
It also recommended Jat Airways to list, before November 15, 2008, all immovables which are not necessary for the company’s basic tasks and implement cost cutting measures.
The government also adopted the conclusion according to which diplomas awarded by Pristina University, of the autonomous province of Kosovo-Metohija, with the UNMIK seal, issued after the 1999 NATO bombing, will be acknowledged in Serbia. Diplomas from Pristina University with the Republic of Kosovo authorisation will not be recognised as valid proof of someone’s education level.
The government also approved the communiqué on salary limits for members of management and supervising boards in state-owned companies and public agencies and the criteria for determining their salaries.
The government appointed Milica Delevic as director of the EU Integration Office.
The government approved paying off the remaining portion of the housing loan given to late Serbian Army lieutenant colonel Istvan Kanas.
