Suspects in Novi Pazar clashes arrested

The Serbian Ministry of Interior said that Novi Pazar police identified persons who fired shots in a clash between the supporters of two Muslim parties in which two people were seriously injured.
The police arrested Aldin Dolovac, age 23, and Emir Rapovic, age 31, both from Novi Pazar on suspicion they committed the criminal act of attempted murder.
The two suspects were interrogated in the presence of their lawyers. They will remain in custody.
The police also filed charges against five persons for violating peace and order. The police are continuing to investigate this incident, reads a statement from the Interior Ministry.
The incident took place on Sept 11 at 17:35 outside the premises of the Sandzak Democratic Party, where supporters of the Sandzak Democratic Party and Democratic Action Party started a fight. Several people were injured, two of them seriously.
