In a statement to the news agency Beta, Malovic said that the agreement concerns an exchange of experiences in the areas of judicial reform and training for judges and prosecutors. Areas such as the system for enforcing penal sanctions, the fight against organised crime and corruption, human and drugs trafficking and other serious crimes are also covered by the agreement.
The Minister said that this is an important agreement because France currently holds the EU presidency, and is a country that implements laws which organise the justice system.
The Serbian government intends to implement a set of new judiciary laws in the near future and the agreement will be helpful in this respect, because France is already implementing similar laws.
The signing of this bilateral agreement will also further strengthen cooperation between Serbia and France.
