Presentation of Serbian Diaspora at Council of Europe’s portal

State Secretary for the Diaspora Miodrag Jaksic met today with project manager Madelena Grossman in charge of Council of Europe’s Diaspora Hub project and PR Director of New Moment agency Anita Todorovic.
The project is aimed at setting up an interactive portal for the inclusion of the Diaspora of all European countries in the cultural projects in home lands.
During the meeting, Jaksic presented the strategies prepared by the Ministry concerning the legislation and return of experts to Serbia.
He said that the potential of the Serbian Diaspora is huge both in terms of economy and cutlure.
One-third of Serbian citizens live outside Serbia, which makes our Ministry very important, Jaksic pointed out.
Grossman expressed wish that Serbia becomes one of the first countries with its presentation on the portal especially given the fact it is the only country in the region that is dedicated to its expatriates institutionally.
Jaksic offered full cooperation of the Ministry on the Diaspora Hub project and offered all disposable resources.
The project is aimed at uniting the Diasporas of over 40 countries of Europe through IT.
