It adopted bills on writing off interest on certain tax obligations and contributions to obligatory social insurance, on the ombudsman for children, on tourism, on food safety, on funds for plant food, on ethanol and on fruit brandy and other alcoholic beverages.
The government made a decision to return Serbian ambassadors to countries from which they were revoked to Belgrade for consultations, so that diplomatic activities on safeguarding the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty can be continued.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proposed an alteration of the action plan for Kosovo-Metohija, bearing in mind that the UN General Assembly has adopted the resolution asking the International Court of Justice for an advisory opinion on whether the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo-Metohija is in accordance with international law.
The government gave consent to the decision proposed by public company Srbijagas to increase the price of natural gas. It has been decided to increase the price of gas for households from RSD 21.27 per cubic metre to RSD 34.41, and for consumers in the long-distance heating system from RSD 22.85 per cubic metre to RSD 31.41.
The government also adopted the decision to change all state organs’ internet domains from the current "sr.gov.yu“ to "gov.rs“. All state organs have been asked to re-register their domains by October 31, 2008 at the latest.
