Greece to support Serbia with €100m in completion of Corridor 10

The Serbian Ministry of Economy and Regional Development stated that Greece will provide non-repayable funds worth €100 million for completing construction of the southern section of Corridor 10 towards the Macedonian border.
The Ministry said in a statement that Minister Mladjan Dinkic met with Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyanni and Greek Economy Minister George Alogoskoufis.
The meeting concluded the whole financial construction for Corridor 10, under which the whole amount for Corridor 10 is €1.585 billion.
Dinkic agreed with the European Investment Bank on the €540 million loan, €400 million loan from the World Bank, €150 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, while €395 million will be provided from the Serbian budget.
In a meeting with Bakoyanni, Dinkic thanked Greece on its support to the Serbian resolution at the UN General Assembly in seeking an advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice over the legality of unilateral declaration of Kosovo-Metohija's independence.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister also told Bakoyanni that Serbia will remain factor of stability in the region and noted that Serbia’s positions on Kosovo are different from those of Brussels.
He also expressed hope that the ICJ will make a decision in Serbia’s favour, which should result in resuming Belgrade-Pristina negotiations.
It was also agreed on Serbia’s participation in the "Seelight" project.
Dinkic is on a multi-day working visit to Greece, during which he will meet with representatives of leading Greek companies and major investors who are interested in investing in Serbia.
During his visit to Greece, the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister will also participate in a roundtable of the Greek-Serbian business council at which he will present advantages of investing in Serbia to Greek investors.
