Serbia, Algeria to promote bilateral cooperation

Serbian Minister of Labour and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic met today with Algerian Minister of Employment and Solidarity Jamel Ould Abbes to discuss bilateral cooperation of the two countries.
Ljajic thanked Algeria on responsible and principled policy toward the Kosovo-Metohija status issue.
Abbes stressed that Algeria will stay consistent and continue to respect international law, Resolution 1244, and UN Charter.
He stressed that Algeria will back Serbia’s initiative at the UN General Assembly today to seek for an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice about the legality of Kosovo’s independence.
Participants of the meeting agreed there are good chances for economic cooperation of the two countries, especially in the areas of infrastructure and construction.
