Serbian government resolved to support national airline

Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic and Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic met today with Jat Airways executives to examine issues related to privatisation of the national airline.
The Serbian government is resolved to support Jat in efforts to establish measures for unhindered functioning of the airline as soon as possible.
A working group has been formed for this purpose. The group consists of representatives of the Prime Minister’s cabinet, relevant ministries and Jat Airways. The group will prepare a business strategy for the company, including short term as well as mid-term strategic steps to be taken in the future.
The working group will prepare the strategy by October 23, when it is expected to be adopted by the Serbian government.
