State secretaries at the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Dejan Jovanovic and Goran Petkovic have set off to an official visit to Brussels, where they will take part in the second conference of Danube countries, cities and regions.
The Ministry says in a statement that Jovanovic and Petkovic will take part in the Danube conference on October 6 and 7 at the representative office of the Germany’s Baden-Württemberg Region in Brussels.
Serbia’s participation in the conference is aimed at strengthening cooperation amongst Danube countries, as well as EU Integration, and the state secretaries will present Serbia’s economic, development, tourist and other potentials.
During the official visit, Jovanovic and Petkovic will meet with representatives of the Directorate General for Regional Policy and the meeting will concern the use of IPA funds in this area, cross/border cooperation and the upcoming adoption of the bill on regional development.
