Thus, the projected deficit has been increased by RSD 4.8 billion in comparison with the Law on the budget for 2008.
It also adopted the revised Memorandum on the budget and economic and fiscal policies for 2009 with projections for 2010 and 2011.
The government approved of the National Plan for Road and Railroad Network Construction in the period 2008–2012. The plan determines the priorities in financing and implementing planned projects in road infrastructure, based on the importance of road sections for further development of the Serbian economy and links with other European countries.
The plan refers to Corridor 10, motorway Belgrade–South Adriatic and a network of regional roads, for whose construction €2.9 billion will be needed. The envisaged funds will be from the budget, as well as from donations and loans from international financial institutions.
At the session, the government also agreed to the reallocation of funds within the National Investment Plan, which envisages that around RSD 415 million be redirected from other projects to the ring road around Belgrade.
The government also passed the Bill on amendments to the Law on higher education and the Bill on confirming the convention on cross-border television.
