During a visit to the Climate Change Caravan set up at Trg Nikole Pasica in Belgrade, Dulic stressed that the state must stimulate production of energy from renewable sources through subsidies.
Serbia is not an economic power and does not emit a lot of carbon-dioxide and other harmful gases, but we as citizens must raise awareness of the importance of the change in energy structure and the things we can do for the planet through energy saving, he said.
According to him, everyone can do a lot in their everyday lives to help prevent the melting of icecaps and the extinction of endangered animal species.
There is a lot of practical advice on how we can all save the planet, said Dulic and warned that the situation with climate change is alarming.
The Climate Change Caravan is part of the recently initiated campaign themed “Global Warming is a Local Problem”, organised by the Young Researches of Serbia and the World Wide Fund for nature.
The caravan visited Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary and will now visit all countries in the region. As for Serbia, it will stop in Subotica and Novi Sad.
