Speaking at a meeting with representatives of domestic construction companies, Cvetanovic said that until now 60% of the sections have been completed, whose total length through Serbia is 835 kilometres, and added that it is necessary to secure funds worth €1.7 billion to complete construction.
He stressed that the Serbian government’s strategic decision to continue works on Corridor 10 must be implemented as soon as possible, and said that expropriation of land will be completed by March next year, as well as the main project design, while by the beginning of April it will be known who will carry out works on Corridor 10.
Corridor 10 is a priority project for the Serbian government, and should be completed within the next two years, said Cvetanovic.
The importance of Corridor 10 for Serbia and the entire region and the possibility of hiring domestic companies for implementing the project were discussed at the meeting, which was attended by heads of major construction companies including Energoprojekt Niskogradnja, Saobracajni Institut CIP, Kolubara Invest, Ratko Mitrovic, Mostogradnja, and Vojput.
They expressed willingness and interest in the construction of Corridor 10 and stated that builders in Serbia are able to implement major projects.
