At today’s meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) representatives, Minister for National Investment Plan (NIP) Verica Kalanovic stressed that since the NIP implies large public investments, the Ministry will take care of its impact on the country’s macroeconomic stability.
Kalanovic stressed that considerable part of the NIP resources in 2009 will be directed to national infrastructure projects, which is in accordance with the economic policy aims.
She added that such an approach will contribute to infrastructure development and the increase of direct investments, export, employment and economy.
She expressed belief that establishing of the system, coordination and control in the upcoming period will improve realization, enable better control and transparency of projects.
