In a statement to the FoNet news agency, following a meeting with Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pranab Mukherjee and opposition leader
Lal Krishna Advani, Jeremic said that the two countries share the identical view of all Balkan related issues.
India supports Serbia’s EU integration and the solution to the Kosovo issue in accordance with international law, with full respect of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Jeremic.
According to him, India is extremely interested in investing in Serbia, particularly in the car industry and high technologies.
Jeremic announced that Serbian parliament speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic will soon visit India, as well as Serbian President Boris Tadic.
This visit confirmed our good relations and I hope that Serbia and India’s economic, political as well as cultural and educational cooperation will be a priority for both governments, said Jeremic.
