According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Trade and Services, the meeting was attended by nearly 40 representatives of major German companies and banks.
Milosavljevic said that according to research done by a German business association, 93% of German investors and companies doing business in Serbia have expressed satisfaction with conditions in the country, which is the best recommendation for new German investors and a proof that Serbia is an attractive business destination.
At the end of the round table the Minister met with representatives of the Trade and Economic Policy Department at the German Federal Trade Association, which brings together nearly 400,000 trading firms and employs some 2.7 million, as well as representatives of the Metro Group.
Following the meeting, Milosavljevic said that one of the largest European trading firms Metro is ready to expand its business in Serbia.
According to Milosavljevic, during the next two years, Metro plans to open four more stores, and there are also plans for opening up retail stores of a type different from the existing Cash & Carry.
It was agreed at the meeting that Serbian products will be promoted by holding interesting events in Metro stores in other countries, concludes the statement.
