The statement adds that while opening the session Milosavljevic said that the Regional Committee session is an annual opportunity to discuss challenges which health systems today are faced with.
At this session, we will formulate regional health policy to meet health and development challenges which concern 870 million people and adopt a budget in order to achieve these goals, said the Minister.
Topics we will discuss at the session are management in the health sector, climate change, mass non-contagious diseases, HIV, mental health, primary health protection, tuberculosis and others.
At the opening the meeting was addressed by Georgian Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze and Georgian First Lady Sandra Roelofs.
The Serbian delegation included Assistant Minister of Health Elizabet Paunovic, advisor to the Minister of Health at the Standing Committee of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe Snezana Simic and PR of the Serbian Health Ministry Ana Vuksanovic, adds the statement.
