Ljajic to head Serbian delegation at UNICEF Executive Board session

Serbian Minister of Labour and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic will head the Serbian delegation at UNICEF Executive Board’s regular session taking place in New York on September 15–18 and submit a report on children’s rights in Serbia.
The Ministry says in a statement that during his stay there, Ljajic will also meet with representatives of the Ugandan mission to the UN, since Uganda is the presiding country of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), as well as with representatives of missions from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
The goal of the meeting is to ensure the support of OIC countries to Serbia’s initiative to determine the legality of Kosovo-Metohija’s declaration of independence at the International Court of Justice, which will be on the agenda of the UN General Assembly, adds the statement.
