Obradovic attends children’s rights conference

Serbian Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic is attending an international conference titled “Building a Europe for and with children – Towards a Strategy for 2009-2011” being held jointly by the Council of Europe and the Swedish government, in Stockholm from September 8 to 10.
According to a statement issued by the Education Ministry, ministers of European countries and representatives of international governments are attending the conference.
The Minister addressed conference participants and informed them about strategies, programmes, plans, measures and actions being undertaken by the Republic and government of Serbia to protect children from physical violence and abuse, as well as to protect and promote children’s rights.
Obradovic, together with ministers of a certain number of European countries signed a petition against child abuse, concludes the statement.
