Government adopts bills on protection of state borders, foreigners

The Serbian government adopted in its session today the bills on protection of state borders which is harmonised with European standards.

This bill introduces border management system that protects inviolability of state border, prevents cross-border crime, protects health and lives of people, provides environmental protection, prevents illegal border crossing and illegal migrations.
Also, the cabinet adopted the bill on foreigners in line with the country’s European integration and the Schengen Agreement.
The government also adopted two bills confirming the guarantee contracts between Serbia and the European Investment Bank for the Belgrade ring road worth €60 million and the Belgrade highway in the amount of €80 million.
