Serbian Minister of Labour and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic and the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) rapporteurs Charles Goerens and Andreas Gross agreed today that completing cooperation with the ICTY is in the greatest interest of the people of Serbia, and is of key importance in regional stability and the process of reconciliation in the region.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ljajic who is also president of the National Council for Cooperation with the ICTY said that Serbia is doing everything it can to find and hand over those Hague indictees who remain at large.
Ljajic said that he hopes the Serbian government’s efforts in locating the remaining indictees will be assessed accordingly and will result in a positive report, which will be presented to PACE this month, concludes the statement.
