Reorganisation of Protection and Rescue Sector

The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that by order of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic, the Protection and Rescue Sector, which is part of the Ministry, will be reorganised into an Emergency Sector modelled after EU states.
The statement adds that the Emergency Sector, with modern technology and staff, set up in line the majority of such services in EU states, will contribute to fast and efficient response during emergency situations and crises (storms, fires, floods and other) with the aim of protecting the lives, health and property of citizens and speedy clear up, as well as strong and well-organised prevention.
